What your role looks like

In this position, you play a critical role in bridging brand strategy with retail execution. The senior shopper marketeer is responsible for developing and implementing shopper-focused marketing initiatives that drive engagement, conversion and loyalty across key retail channels in Europe. With a strong focus on trade and consumer marketing including PR, the Shopper Marketeer ensures that Hallmark’s brand is consistently and compellingly represented across all shopper touchpoints.

Your tasks and responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute shopper marketing campaigns aligned with brand and commercial objectives.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key retailers in order to deliver trade marketing plans including retailer-specific marketing initiatives, joint business plans and retailer engagement strategies.
  • Collaborate with sales, brand and content teams to create impactful in-store activations and customer or prospect presentations.
  • Brief design and deliver promotional materials and POS assets tailored to shopper behaviour and retailer specifications.
  • Build and maintain relationships with media outlets, influencers and PR agencies to support collaborative products, campaign amplification, consumer engagement and commercial goals.
  • Work with fellow shopper marketeers and webshop team on content ideation for social media platforms to support shopper campaigns and drive consumer engagement.
  • Collaborate with the Content Designer, Photographer/Stylist, Videographer and Content Marketing Manager to ensure cohesive visual storytelling across channels that supports brand storytelling and emotional connection.
  • Execute PR initiatives to enhance brand visibility and reputation across European markets.
  • Manage agency relationships and ensure timely delivery of creative and PR assets.
  • Brief concepts and support managing participation in trade fairs, supplier days, and client events.
  • Analyse shopper insights, consumer behavior, and campaign performance to optimize future strategies.
     

You will be located in Capelle aan den IJssel (NL) and you will report to the Marketing Manager Europe.

  • A bachelor or master’s degree, preferably in marketing or communication;
  • 5+ years of experience in shopper, consumer, or trade marketing, ideally within FMCG or retail.
  • Strong understanding of consumer behaviour, retail environments and PR.
  • Experienced in directing and managing POS and content.
  • Excellent project management and communication skills.
  • Excellent command of the Dutch and English language in both speech and writing.  
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple stakeholders.
  • Creative mindset with a focus on commercial impact and brand consistency.
  • Proficiency in using data and insights to inform marketing decisions.
  • Available 5 days a week and able to travel within Europe occasionally.
